FINANCE FOR NON-FINANCE MANAGERS
Organisations rely on the judgment of senior executives and non-executive members including the finance committee members to oversee appropriately areas such as financial management, reporting, internal controls, compliance, risk management and indeed governance. Moreover, the tone set by the committee and by extension the board is an important piece for the overall organisation performance. Financial management consists of creating a systematic method for the collection of financial data that is useful for making decisions about the operations of the organization of an entity as well as meeting reporting requirements of legitimate authorities and financiers. It is therefore imperative for managers to remain up to date and aware of changes to their responsibilities.
